Coronavirus Update: Mexico
We wanted to reach out and address a key question many people have with respect to their upcoming Spring Break trip to Mexico, specifically regarding the recent travel restrictions announced by the U.S.
We would like to reiterate that the recent travel restrictions announced on March 11, 2020, to be instituted by the U.S. do not apply to Mexico and do not apply to U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., immediate family members of U.S. citizens, or others as identified in the official proclamation.
There are currently no travel restrictions placed on travel to and from Mexico or on U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents of the U.S.
We encourage you to visit Travel.gov to stay up to date on the latest information regarding travel restrictions. We continue to closely monitor travel and Covid-19 related announcements and will keep everyone updated as necessary. We also encourage you to check the terms and conditions of your travel insurance for the scope of coverage to understand your options prior to departure and during your travels.
We are doing our best to see where we can honor partial refunds. They will only be possible if the vendors we are working with agree to refunds as we have already incurred costs associated with bookings. We are continuously speaking to individual vendors to find out what is possible; however, given Mexico is still considered a safe destination, there is no guarantee we will be able to recoup money from them. If you make the difficult decision to not go on your Spring Break experience, we will let you know if any part of your experience can be refunded within 45 days.
As you can imagine, we are getting a huge number of inquiries so please bear with us while we try to resolve everyone's questions and concerns in the best way possible!
